Thank you for visiting The Not-So-Fit-Girl’s Guide to Fitness. I’m Jenna, the Not-So-Fit Girl. Maybe you’re like me– you know what it takes to live a healthy lifestyle, but you don’t exactly “look” the part. But we’re on this journey, striving every day to make the small changes and big decisions that will move us closer to being the healthiest we can be right here, right now. This is a no-judgement zone– we’re all here to learn and grow, even as we try to shrink.
I’ve been there, done that, and been back there again. So please don’t think I’m some skinny-for-life-without-even-trying fitness maven– I’m not. I’m also not a quitter.
Won’t you join me in this journey? Let’s work together to move toward making those little choices every day that can lead to big changes, a shrinking waistline, and a happier you.
In addition to being a Not-So-Fit Girl, I’m also a survivor of domestic abuse. I truly believe that getting your body in shape requires us to look at every part of us– body, mind, and spirit. As someone who lived in brokenness for well over a decade, and now lives as a busy, working single mom, I understand that there are some struggles that are almost too difficult to overcome– almost. With God, all things are possible. While I may never be fully healed from the physical and emotional abuse I endured, I can choose to be healthy in spite of it, and I’d love nothing more than to see you achieve the same.
