Y’all, I was not born in the South, but I’ve said y’all ever since my middle school days. Two of my best friends growing up were twins from Texas, and they convinced me that y’all was gender neutral, way back before gender neutral was even a thing. I didn’t realize until I moved to the South that I was a sweet tea fanatic– I just sweetened it until I was happy with it, and my mom would chide me for adding too much sugar. You could say I just have Southern taste buds. That is not necessarily a good thing.
So it is no surprise that I love Chick fil A. Bless my heart. I tell you what, those waffle fries, dipped in CFA sauce– it’s like crack for Christians. This is my Achilles’ heel, my place of solace, paired beautifully with a cookies and cream milk shake with whipped cream and… hold on! Totally going the wrong direction here. Focus!
You CAN swing through the CFA drive thru without breaking your calorie budget! Just stick to choosing one of these items, and I will allow just a smidge of CFA sauce with your nuggets, because how could I not?
